Sealed, written formal bid proposals for the above bid will be received by Madison Parish School District at 301 South Chestnut Street, Tallulah, Louisiana 71282 until 2:00 p.m. (Local Prevailing Time) June 6, 2024 at which time and place they will be publicly opened and read aloud.

The Madison Parish School District reserves the right to reject any and all bids and to waive informalities, also to withhold the acceptance of any bid if approved, for forty-five calendar days from the date bids are opened.

Bid documents are being made available via electronic copy. Plan holders are required to register for an account at www.m3aarchplans.com to view Bid Documents. Printed copies are not available through the Architect. Plan holders will be responsible for their own reproduction cost. All Contractors who intend to submit “BIDS” are ENCOURAGED to attend the NON-MANDATORY Pre-Bid Conference at the project site, Madison Parish High School on May 23, 2024, at 11:00 AM local prevailing time.

The successful bidder will be allowed two hundred forty (180) calendar days from the date of issuance of Notice to Proceed to complete the project. Liquidated damages will be assessed at $1,000.00 per day for each calendar day the work is not substantially complete.

All bids must be accompanied by bid security equal to five percent (5%) of the sum of the base bid and all alternates, and must be in the form of a certified check, cashier’s check or a Bid Bond written by a company licensed to do business in Louisiana.

The successful bidder will be required to furnish a Performance and a Payment Bond written by a company licensed to do business in Louisiana, each in an amount equal to100% of the contract amount
